Hi, I am Xiliu. My work applies a human-centric design approach towards building intelligent and interactive systems that tackle challenges in design, architecture, fabrication, and construction. I am particularly interested in extended reality interfaces and human-robot interaction.  

I grew up in Shanghai, worked as a designer and entrepreneur in Hong Kong, completed my doctorate in Stuttgart, and am currently working at the Institute for Computational Design and Construction (ICD) and Max Planck Institute of Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS) in Stuttgart, Germany.
